Alba Mons Grabens



Termed both "catena" and "fossae," long linear depressions are a dominate surface feature of Alba Mons. Created by tectonic forces, these depressions are fault bounded downdropped blocks of material called grabens on Earth. Today's VIS image shows two graben.
