Wind Effects Near Zephyria Planum


Located on the margin of Zephyria Planum, today's image shows the effect the wind has had on the surface of Mars. Loose materials have been removed and semi-consolidated materials have been eroded into narrow hill forms.

Note: Zephyria Planum is a peninsula-shaped lobe of upraised land that extends to the northwest from the border terrain separating the southern highlands from Elysium Planitia.
